TRACY TURNBLAD
A cute, "pleasantly plump" teenager, she loves dancing and dreams of being famous one day.
She always rushes home from school with her best friend Penny to watch their favourite TV programme, The Corny Collins Show.
When the show announces they are holding auditions for dancers Tracy is desperate to attend. When she beats all odds to win a part she starts a revolution to racially integrate Baltimore.
